All adopters must be over the age of 18, and may not have any record of animal cruelty.

The Humane Society of Seneca County takes in animals from all over the county for a variety of reasons. Every animals brought to us is evaluated using an effective behavioral assessment. This allows us to determine the animal’s behavior, temperament, and adoption potential. We take our responsibility to the community seriously and want to make sure every animal adopted out to the public will be a safe and joyful addition to its new family.

Dog and Puppy adoption fee varies with the age of the dog.

This includes:

  • Spay or Neuter
  • Age appropriate vaccinations
  • Heartworm test (over 5 months)
  • Heartworm prevention
  • Wormer
  • Flea Treatment
  • Microchip

The Humane Society of Seneca County is the only facility within the county that accepts cats, whether they be owner surrender, neglect of abuse cases, or neighborhood strays. This means we always have a lot of cats and kittens available for adoption. As with the dogs we have in the shelter, every cat in our facility is assessed and evaluated to determine they will be a safe and friendly addition to potential forever families
